Katrina Barton

Katrina is responsible for writing marketing materials for Brackendale clients after joining the firm in 2019. She has spent the past few years as freelance writer and editor in the UK, Canada and the US, after authoring Bird Eat Bird, which won the 2011 Commonwealth Writers' Prize for Best First Book. She was later story editor for the BBC One medical drama series Holby City.
Katrina has worked in marketing and content creation across a wide array of sectors including finance, entertainment, politics, education and the third sector. She has written for the Canadian TV drama series Cold Squad (Atlantis/CTV), and for international NGOs including Action Contre Le Faim and the Alzheimer’s Society. Katrina began her professional career as an in-house writer, researcher and editor at Best Magazine (Hearst Magazines), a bestselling women’s weekly magazine in London. She has working French, having previously lived and worked in Montreal for over a decade.
